Meet Trevor - McKays Family Butchers

What is your position at McKays Family Butchers and how big is your team: 
Greg and I are both the owner/operators of the business and have a great team of 8 staff that we really enjoy working with every day. 


What is your most popular product this time of year: 
Roasts are always on at this time of year. As the weather gets cooler and we come out of summer into autumn/ winter more families opt for a roast. It's hard to beat a Sunday roast. 

What is your personal favourite cut of meat:
There are so many, but if I had to choose one it would have to be a rib eye steak. It has to be reverse seared. If you want to try this come into the shop and see us on how to reverse sear. 


What do you like about working at McKays Family Butchers at Stud Park: 
The people, hands down the people we work with and our customers who keep us busy everyday. It's just great to be able to service the local community with high quality, fresh meat. 

Do you have a favourite customer moment: 
Something I really enjoy is when we provide expert advice to our customers and they go home and put it into practice and come back to share with us the success they had and thank us! That is a good feeling. 


What makes McKays Family Butchers a great part of the local Rowville community
We do regular donations of snags to local sporting groups and charity groups for BBQ fundraisers, including the recent bushfire appeals.
