Acai Bowl Recipe

Ingredients

Add to a high powered blender:
  • 1 packet (100 grams) frozen acai berry packet
  • 1/2 cup (118g) 100% apple juice from concentrate or standard apple juice
  • 1 small frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
Top your bowl:
(Below are recommendations; add your favourite toppings and add to your desired quantity)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or rice malt syrup (if you don't add this on top, I recommend adding it to the mixture beforehand)
  • Handful vanilla almond granola, or a similar store bought/homemade granola
  • Fresh fruit sliced thinly or chopped: such as fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, kiwi, mango, banana
  • Dark chocolate slivers or flaked almonds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1-2 tablespoons shredded or toasted coconut
  • Mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Add the acai berry packet, apple juice, banana, strawberries, and blueberries to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into a large breakfast bowl.
  3. Top the bowl with as much (or as little) of your favourites such as granola, fresh sliced fruit, chia seeds, and coconut!
  4. Drizzle with honey or syrup over everything. Enjoy!
